IDEAS FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT
How to compare house exterior design options and choose a direction
Use a shared brief, specific notes, and an exterior concept presentation board to make a clear choice between saved AIByTask designs.
1. Put the original and candidates in one project
In AIByTask, sign in and open My projects to review your saved exterior designs. Use candidates from the same original photo when possible. Different viewpoints, lighting, or cropping can make an option look more attractive without answering the design question.
Keep the original visible during your review. A generated concept can change windows, roof details, paving, or landscaping as well as colors and materials.
2. Give both options the same questions
| Criterion | Question to answer | Example note |
|---|---|---|
| Palette | Which color relationships do I prefer? | Option A has the lighter siding I wanted. |
| Materials | Does this direction fit the surfaces I intend to keep? | Keep our original brick; do not adopt the new cladding in B. |
| Entry and balance | Where does my eye go, and is that the effect I want? | I prefer B’s darker entry, but A’s garage color. |
| Unwanted changes | What changed beyond the brief? | Both changed window details; retain the original windows. |
| Open questions | What needs a sample, measurement, or separate review? | Confirm siding options and compare samples at the house. |
You can use these questions as notes. They are a decision aid, not an automatic quality score or a cost estimate.
3. Save a choice that says what you mean
Select the preferred design in your project, then add a note explaining your choice. Record design preferences separately so the broader brief is clear even if you switch the selected candidate.
For example: “Choose A for the siding and overall contrast. Keep the original brick and windows. Explore B’s darker front door later. Landscaping is not part of this decision.” Save the changes, then revisit the project to check that your selection, notes, and preferences are the ones you intended.
Comparing, choosing, and saving notes use no generation credits. Requesting another AI image is a separate action with its displayed cost.
4. Make a board when you need to share the decision
An exterior concept presentation board brings your existing images and project information together. Use the original and selected direction to explain the visual goal, with notes identifying changes you do not want to copy.
A new AIByTask presentation board currently costs 2 credits. Review the quote before creating one. If your project already has a suitable board, open and download it instead of creating another. Downloading an existing board does not request a new AI concept.
Label a shared board as a concept. It does not replace measured drawings, product specifications, a quote, or professional review of proposed work.
